Day 1: Mombasa to Tsavo West National Park
Your safari adventure begins early in the morning as you depart from your Mombasa hotel at 08:00 AM, heading inland towards Tsavo West National Park. The journey of approximately 295 kilometers takes you through changing landscapes, offering glimpses of rural Kenyan life. Upon arrival at Kilaguni Safari Lodge, you'll enjoy a well-deserved lunch before embarking on your first afternoon game drive. Tsavo West, known for its rugged beauty and diverse wildlife, provides an excellent introduction to Kenya's wilderness. As the day winds down, you'll make your way to Ngulia Safari Lodge for dinner and your overnight stay. The lodge, perched on the edge of an escarpment, offers breathtaking views of the vast Tsavo plains.
Day 2: Tsavo West to Amboseli National Park
After an early breakfast, you'll bid farewell to Tsavo West and journey towards Amboseli National Park, nestled at the foot of Africa's highest peak, Mount Kilimanjaro. En route, you'll pass through the fascinating Shetani Lava Flow, a vast expanse of folded black lava, testament to the area's volcanic past. You'll also visit Mzima Springs, where crystal-clear water flows from underground streams, often hosting hippos and crocodiles. After a late breakfast back at the lodge, you'll depart for Taita Hills Sanctuary, arriving in time for lunch at either Taita Hills Lodge or Hilton Safari Camp.
