Experience the majesty of Africa’s most iconic wildlife destination with our exclusive Serengeti Sunsets Safari. This 3-day adventure takes you deep into the heart of Tanzania’s legendary Serengeti National Park, home to the greatest concentration of wildlife on the planet and the stage for the spectacular Great Migration. From vast golden savannahs dotted with acacia trees to rolling plains teeming with predators and prey, every moment in the Serengeti offers breathtaking opportunities to witness nature at its most magnificent. This carefully crafted road safari combines comfort and authenticity, with accommodations at the prestigious Serengeti Sopa Lodge and expert guides who ensure you experience the best of this UNESCO World Heritage Site. Whether it’s witnessing a pride of lions at sunrise or watching elephants silhouetted against the crimson African sunset, the Serengeti Sunsets Safari promises memories that will last a lifetime.
Your adventure begins with an early morning pickup from your Arusha hotel at 0700hrs, followed by a scenic drive toward the world-famous Serengeti National Park. En route, you’ll visit the historically significant Olduvai Gorge, known as the “Cradle of Mankind,” where you can explore the site where some of the oldest human fossils were discovered. The journey continues to the magnificent Serengeti, arriving in time for lunch at Serengeti Sopa Lodge. After settling in, embark on your first game drive in the late afternoon, when the wildlife is most active and the lighting is perfect for photography. Return to the lodge for dinner and your first night under the African stars, with the sounds of the wilderness as your lullaby.
Today is dedicated entirely to exploring the vast Serengeti ecosystem, home to an incredible diversity of wildlife. After breakfast, depart with your expert guide for a morning game drive across the rolling plains, searching for the park’s famous residents including lions, elephants, giraffes, and perhaps the elusive leopard. For the adventurous, an optional hot air balloon safari can be arranged (at additional cost), offering a breathtaking perspective of the Serengeti at dawn. Return to the lodge for lunch and some leisure time before setting out again in the afternoon to discover different areas of this massive park, each with its own unique landscapes and wildlife populations. As the day draws to a close, witness the legendary Serengeti sunset before returning to Serengeti Sopa Lodge for dinner and overnight accommodation.
Savor your final morning in the Serengeti with breakfast at the lodge while taking in the panoramic views one last time. After checking out, begin your journey back to Arusha, with opportunities for wildlife viewing along the way. The drive offers time to reflect on the incredible experiences and sightings from your safari adventure. Arrive in Arusha by early afternoon in time for lunch, where your unforgettable Serengeti Sunsets Safari concludes. Transfers to your Arusha hotel or to the airport can be arranged according to your onward plans.
