Your safari adventure begins as you arrive at Nairobi airport. You'll be greeted with a traditional welcome and escorted to the Ibis Hotel by African Authentic Safaris Ltd staff. Enjoy dinner and overnight stay at the hotel on a bed and breakfast basis.
After breakfast, you'll be picked up from your city hotel and depart for the Amboseli Game reserve, situated on the slopes of Mt. Kilimanjaro. Following lunch, embark on an afternoon game-viewing drive with the photogenic snow-capped Mt Kilimanjaro as your backdrop. Dinner and overnight stay will be at Sopa Lodge on a full board basis.
Start your day with an early morning game-viewing drive, returning for a late breakfast. The rest of the morning is yours to enjoy another exciting game-viewing drive or relax by the pool. After lunch, set out for another game-viewing drive. Dinner and overnight stay will again be at Sopa Lodge on a full board basis.
Begin your day with an early breakfast before driving north towards the slopes of Aberdare.You'll arrive at Aberdare Country Club (your base hotel) in time for lunch. In the afternoon, transfer to The Ark - a tree hotel for afternoon tea, followed by dinner and overnight game viewing at the natural salt-lick and flood-lit water hole. The underground photograph hide offers an unparalleled view of big wild game at close quarters. Please note that due to limited cabin size, only a small overnight bag is permitted in the tree hotels. Children under 5 years are not allowed in the tree hotels.
After breakfast, transfer back to the base hotel to rejoin your driver guide. Drive through the semi-arid area of northern Kenya, encountering the Pastoralist Samburu people. Cross the Equator and arrive at Samburu Serena Lodge for lunch. Enjoy an afternoon game drive in search of lions, elephants, and crocodiles in the river. Overnight stay at Samburu Sopa Lodge on a full board basis.
Dedicate the full day to viewing the big game and rare species associated with Northern Kenya, including the Reticulated giraffe, Grevy's zebra, Beisa oryx, and Graceful gerenuk. Enjoy morning and afternoon game drives, with overnight stay at Samburu Sopa Lodge on a full board basis.
Depart for Lake Nakuru bird sanctuary via the scenic uplands road. Weather permitting, enjoy panoramic views of Africa's Great Rift Valley 600m below. In the afternoon, embark on a game/bird viewing excursion around Lake Nakuru shores, a seasonal home to millions of flamingoes. Overnight stay at Winston Hotel on a full board basis.
After breakfast, depart for Kenya's finest game reserve - Maasai Mara Game Reserve. Arrive in time for lunch at the spectacular Keekorok Safari Lodge. Enjoy a swim or simply relax in this cool lodge. In the late afternoon, proceed on a game-viewing drive. Dinner and overnight stay at AA Mara Lodge on a full board basis.
Immerse yourself in the game-filled plains of Mara with morning and afternoon game drives. This reserve offers opportunities to view the big five (Lion, buffalo, leopard, elephant, and rhino) as well as hippos and an abundance of plain game. Overnight stay at AA Mara Lodge on a full board basis.
After breakfast, bid farewell ('Kwaheri' in Swahili) to Masai Mara and leisurely drive back to Nairobi, arriving around mid-day. If time permits, enjoy an optional dinner at the Carnivore Restaurant. Later, transfer to the airport for your homebound/departure flight, having experienced Kenya like never before!
